Site Updates
Since this is a holiday week with less traffic and lots of people away doing other things rather than looking at the internet, I’m likely going spend a little time revising and updating the layout of this blog. It’s going to be pretty drastically different (in a good way), but I think it will be a really nice direction. So please bear with me if you visit the site and everything looks all wonky. I’m working on it, so never fear! I expect to have it all completed no later than the end of this weekend, ready to go for all you people returning to work next week.
Posting will also be light this week - at least on this blog. In addition to the technical considerations described above, I’ve also been looking feverishly for a full-time job all across the US. I’ve been blogging a bit about that over at my tech blog actually, if you’re interested in that type of thing. I’ve also updated and redesigned the tech blog, since we’re on the subject.
Anyway, have a nice Thanksgiving.

The cool new design I want to implement is way more involved than I originally anticipated. So it’s going to take a few more days.

Hey Tim, I’ve got an idea for a possible site addition, though it should probably wait until the next time (not this current update). What if you included a guest article section? A section where people could submit articles or similar-style/length papers/essays to you, and you posted the best ones on like a once-a-week or twice-a-month basis. It’d allow for more discussion, more perspectives, and it’d also allow longer submissions from other people that wouldn’t clog up the forum or the comments section of one of your blog posts.

Yeah! Great call. I’ve been meaning to do that for quite a while. I need to figure out the best way to do that. It would make the most sense for me to put all these changes together into one massive Thanksgiving Weekend update. I’m gonna put my thinking hat on here and see if I can figure something out.

Cool, I just thought up an awesome name for it: Xenology! It’s gonna be a sort of magazine/blog something something. I’ll figure it out and get back to you.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who frequents this page. It’s comforting to know that blogs exist out there that are actually informative, researched, interesting, and . . .most importantly. . .worth our valuable time. At the very least, sites like these are wonderful distractions from all the porn.
Not that we need those…
