Twin Peaks & Monkey Dreams
I’ve been having a lot of Twin Peaks themed dreams lately. Last night I dreamt that I got a job working for Ben Horne (one of the characters), which I guess would make me roughly equivalent somehow to Bobby in the series? I don’t know. In any event, Audrey was also in the dream, as well as Dr. Jacoby. I don’t so much remember the circumstances surrounding it though. About a week ago, I also had an elaborate dream about what happened after the series ended. All I really remember was that Agent Cooper had gray hair in the dream.
I had another dream last night about a mysterious Indian figure (by that I mean Native American). I was sitting out on a porch with my family, posibly on vacation. And into the back yard runs a giant baboon or mandrill or something. Really big, like bigger than a person. All black except for some flashes of blue on his face. And he’s kind of running back and forth through the yard, doing these motions. All of a sudden, this Indian guy (who I guess was with us - for whatever reason) starts rolling around on the deck, kind of imitating the motions of this monkey. At first I thought he was just playing, but before I knew it, he was out in the yard interacting with this creature. Almost like an elaborate dance combined with a fight - maybe like a mystical monkey version of capoeira. And then, all of a sudden, he is transformed into a monkey himself and the fighting turns from being a ritual movement into an actual fight, with the big black one taking swipe at his face.
I yell out to my family, “I can see his spirit!” Because there was a moment where I saw this sort of luminous white shape issue forth from the Indian, kind of in the shape of a person. And then he transformed again, first into a crow and later into a black panther (and I mean the animal, not the Black Nationalists).
While all this was going on, the situation became less distinct, and the backyard scene vanished, and I’m suddenly talking with my girlfriend. We talk about the Indian. She tells me that I “owe him money.” Except I don’t understand what she means, because I’ve never met him before, so how could I have borrowed money from him? Gradually I came to understand that there was something mystical about what she meant, that it wasn’t so much about money, as it was about a debt of some kind, or possibly gratitude. Looking back, maybe it was in reference to him protecting me from this weird backyard monster baboon thing. I’m not totally sure.
PS. I’m not so much posting this in the hopes anybody will decode it for me as in simply wanting to give this thing air to breathe in and move around. Check out this article I wrote on dream interpretation for more on my philosophy of dreams.

I have done rituals in real life where i forgot to pay money to the spirits, and then had dreams that night where people were following and hassling me, like “hey man, you owe me some money!!!”
And in the dream I refused but when I woke up i realized what it was and took care of it.
Sounds like you have some interesting and powerful spiritual guides, anyway…
FWIW they say that a lot of people on this continent actually do have native american spirits as guides - even causians or african americans. (It ain’t ethnicity its inclination and being simpatico).

So… how do I pay him? In my dream, the amount I owed was $20, but like when I envision the money in my head, it’s illuminated.

dude, you owe me 20 bucks.

You’re no weird shape-shifting Native American shaman, my friend. At least not yet.

I dunno how you pay him, actually. Do you have any kind of divination system that you use besides tarot, like a pendulum or rollin’ the bones? SOmething that has a simple yes/no/ask again?
Sometimes you can communicate with those guys directly and just ask’em. Like what do you want, do you want a candle, do you want some candy, do you want a shot of liquor, is there something i am suppose to do for you, whatever.
Its specific to a system but still a decent explanation of how someone begins to communicate and work w. “warrior” type spirit guides: the book Urban Voodoo by Jason Black (new falcon press).
I would think if there are native american warriors and shapeshifting fighting animals involved than a shamanic approach might work well - think of it as a person who has an agenda and tastes of their own and how would you communicate with them with them for your mutual benefit, given that you can’t perceive them in ordinary reality?
Certain types of activities are a bridge to nonordinary reality, eg drumming, dancing, dreaming… lighting incense and candles esp. tobacco such as cigars.. they create a space where teh two world overlap and can communicate
SO maybe the payment would even just be acknowledgement, energy, gratitude -
what’s the guy doin for ya? Protecting you from astral wildlife? “Slaying sucker MCs?” Birds of a feather, LOL. Mebbe yer supposed to learn from him too.

I had a really weird twin peaks (david Lynch) type dream too, a long long time ago. I wish I would have wrote it down, cuz I pretty much forgot it. The main scene of the dream was like a really deep dark medievil forest looking, something that seemed totally european or bavarian, not sure. Since I forgot most of it I guess it’s not really worth mentioning. All I remember is this weird demented forest scene, with two guys (i think) talking, casually discussing something to the front right, by some trees… (almost like a medium long shot) And then almost mystically out of nowhere this boy walks into the frame, almost supernaturally from the beyond the left, with his goat and the goat was like super white. And both of these figures were really large. (and it was almost like they weren’t even from the same dimensional plane) But they were very large, and the most detailed and fully dimensional figures in the dream. Almost like they totally did not belong in that dark scary forest. Coming from the right, large and into view, they very silently and gracefully walked, almost like they were hovering, to the smaller right scale, getting smaller and smaller. It was like I was looking through the lens of some really strange 3-dimensional IMAX type camera. The goat thing was really weird… As those figures moved to the right I noticed that they finally caught the strange bewildered attention of the two “normal” people who were casually talking to the right… The boy and his goat he was walking in the lead slowly walked, getting smaller and smaller, and as they made it to the shrinking far right the dark forest scene got darker… This is the most weird and fucked up part. The weird bavarian forest scene got really dark and the two normal figures kind of disappeared and by now I think the boy and his goat had disappeared. And then I noticed the most strange unimaginable figure, a being of some sort hidden, seriously hidden this whole time in front of a dark tree in the background… As the main scene got darker, somehow this figure was exposed and I saw it, some kind of reptilian looking guy with his body against a tree, staring back me… like just looking at me, as if to tell me it was secretly there the whole time. It was so weird, gave me chills and stuff. It sort of seemed like Clash of the titans a little bit, when perseus was in the lair of Medusa. This figure was sort of medusa like, except without the snakes and stuff and he didn’t move an inch. And I couldn’t really see his or its eyes. It was basically camoflauged until he became (exposed) But even then he still didn’t move, he just stared back at me, and I think I freaked out and woke up. It was almost like the two guys talking normally, the boy and goat, and the reptilian sort of entity were all in the same forest scene but from different dimensions. Where they really did not interract with each other.

I am really curious as to what Tim Boucher looks like. It is pure curiosity. I told my unconscious to show me a picture of what he looks like (after reading that interesting post on dream people). It hasn’t worked. Anyways Boucher is French- and this site is about exploration so maybe Tim looks like the French explorer Antonie de Cadillac. Anyways it leaves a bit of intrigue, but it is interesting because I “know” (relativly and moderatly so) the mind of a complete stranger but no image to go with it.

Did you see “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me” yet? The monkey in that terrified me… as did most of the film in fact. Amazing movie.
When I mention it to people who’ve seen the film they ususally don;’t even remeber a monkey at all, it’s just one short and very weird shot….

Yeah, I remember it all right! it’s right at the end, and the monkey says “JUDY!” and its the scariest thing in the whole damned movie.
