Links, Side-Blogs, Other Plans

Just a small house-keeping note: I moved my links list/blogroll to it’s own separate page, which I’ve come to think is a bit more elegant of a solution. If you’re looking for it, here it is.

I’ve also moved a few items from it over to my tech blog, because they made a lot more sense there.

Speaking of side-blogs, I’m also going to be experimenting with yet another one called “Ecesis” which will essentially be for me to work on things in a more creative-writing type of vein. So far I think it’s going to be where I post about any dreams I have that I’d like to share, along with poetry, fiction, and god only knows what.

Anyway, this is just the beginning of a long line of updates which I have planned for this site. So stay with me if something weird happens when you’re browsing at any point over the next couple weeks. It’s most likely because I’m tinkering with code. My ultimate goal is to build out these individual sideblogs with some good content and integrate together all of them into the fledgling “Pop Occulture Network”. I’m also going to be setting up an area which aggregates together links from all these various arms of that network, so we can have a sort of headquarters for the whole thing. So yeah, there’s a lot of work to be done… (just so you don’t think I sit around on my ass all day doing nothing)

Your link to your links page just points to your journal’s front page…

Hey there- I’m having no luck subscribing to the Skullfood RSS. Maybe I’ll do better on the machine at home instead of this one at the library. Or maybe your XML isn’t pleasing to google personal… I’ll try again later, fer sure. Everything else looks super neato, tho.

Don’t know what to say, it’s working here for me currently. I’ve also got it feeding successfully at a variety of other locations, so I know the RSS feed is functional

I tried it again at home, and it still didn’t work. But then I edited out the final slash on the url and voila.

Are you saying you included or removed the trailing slash after feed/ ?

All this RSS stuff is way more fickle than I thought. I’ve been looking into the various standards and they almost aren’t even standards at all it seems like. Much more to it than I anticipated.

I took the slash out. I’m using Google personalized. Yeah, it’s all fickle and complicated, but when it works, it’s fantastic.
