Plans for the next few weeks…

Things are winding down here as it inches closer to Christmas time. I’ll be travelling or otherwise occupied for this weekend and at least the first half of next week. So I won’t be posting as feverishly as usual. What I will try to do though is write a few short things tonight, and then have them post automatically at staggered intervals over the next few days in case you’re sitting around at your relatives’ house bored out of your mind, looking for some kind of weird kicks. I’ll try to deliver as best I can.

After that it’s almost the end of this year. I’ll be turning twenty-six in early January. It’s been quite a year, that’s for sure. And this next one also promises to be wild and wooly in a totally new and interesting way. Thanks to the good graces of several people who have my eternal thanks, I will be taking a train out to Seattle sometime in the middle of January. Exact details are yet to be resolved, but I will more than likely be staying with both JP of Fantastic Planet and Garrett of BoontDustie, and hopefully hanging out with the likes of other Northwesterlies such as JK of DunneIV and Ran Prieur, and whoever else decides to rear their ugly heads while I’m out there. So if the Singularity or something is accidentally triggered in the next month or so, you’ll know why - it’s because we were never meant to concentrate so many of us in close proximity.

I’m not really sure at this point how long I’ll be out there. My rough plan at this point is to try and find a job and make a go of it. I know I said the same thing about New York City a few months ago, but this is a whole different ballgame. Plus I had a really positive and promising dream about it recently. Anyway, more about that some other time I guess. I should get to work putting together posts for the next few days. Peace.

PS. Check out my link, tech and creative writing blogs for more reading material over the next few days, along with the forum as well.

Good luck, safe trip, and given the season I’ll even offer up forgiveness for getting the Perfect Strangers theme song stuck in my head.
