Italy Issues Arrest Warrants for CIA Agents
Man, Italy better be careful or they’re gonna get themselves put on that old Axis of Evil list:
An Italian court has issued Europe-wide arrest warrants for 22 suspected CIA agents accused of helping to kidnap a Muslim cleric in Milan in 2003.
The suspects are accused of abducting Osama Mustafa Hassan, also known as Abu Omar, without Italian permission, and flying him to Egypt for interrogation.
The new warrants allow for the suspects’ detention anywhere in the 25-nation EU, a prosecutor said.
I wonder what will come of this - if anything. Seems like no matter what type of things are revealed about our current government, nothing ever makes much of a dent for very long.

Good on Italy! If there were an organisation worth fearing, it is the hydra that is the CIA. Responsible to no one, involved in drug running, coups, and with an estimated 400+ secret jails around the world, they are the root of the figurative “Empire” that everyone fears. Or so I figure.
They might also make the whole of Italy disappear if it gets too serious. However, whenever anyone seems to stake a claim in persecuting the CIA, the media and everyone seems to hush within a week or two. So we’ll see…

as along as there have been nations there have been spies. macciavelli didn`t invent anything, he merely cut-an-pasted from the greeks and romans. dirty tricks are the source code of diplomacy. while the tuxedos are being collected at the dry cleaners another double agent is bundled into a car or scales the wall of an embassy.
there sn`t one amongst us who woulddn`t do precisely the same thing.
