New Commenting Guidelines

I felt the urge to put together a little bit of information for people curious about what the best ways to interact on this site are. Consider it my Rules of Engagement.

I’m not trying to be a tyrant or anything. I’m just trying to continually provide the most satisfying experience for myself and for other people in using this site. If you’re here often enough, most of the things I’ve said on that page should be pretty obvious to you already. But it will benefit some people to have things be a bit more formalized.

Again, it’s really nothing drastic, and most of you probably don’t need to read this page at all if you’ve been here for any amount of time beyond 5 minutes. This is just written with the hope of heading off (some) future trouble at the pass.

Looks good to me. Most people will be glad to oblige with the norms of a community if they know what they are and stating expectations upfront is a good way to separate the wheat from the chaff. Nonetheless, I believe it’s time for me to go in thoroughly unrelated fashion. Best of luck in Seattle, Tim.

These small guidelines could well be applied to life generally .
