Tonight I met with about six or so members of the Seattle Metaphysical Library. If you don’t know them and you live in the area, you should definitely check them out. As far as I understand it, they’ve been around - in one shape or another - for about forty years. Their present incarnation resides in a basement room in Ballard - right next door to the Great Harvest Bread Co. to be precise. They have a little teeny sign leading down a bunch of stairs. Anyway, speaking of their website, I am going to be helping them with it. They seem like a good organization with some really interesting people in it and I’m happy to be volunteering some of my time to boost their web presence and visibility in Seattle as well.

One of the things I would really like to see their website develop as is a kind of nexus for people interested in metaphysical and other types of alternative topics in the Seattle region. They have something like 11,000 books in their little room, and their collection contains some very rare and unusual items. I can see this as being a great center-piece for people with diverse interests in the region getting together for conversations and sharing of experiences.

Anyway, I will be doing some on-going cross-promotional stuff for them with Pop Occulture over the coming months. And I also imagine that I will have some thought-provoking new content for my own site which will arise out of the interactions I have with other members. Definitely looking forward to it!
