Nemo’s Utopia
MySpace, it turns out, is good for things besides stalking ex-lovers. I’ve been very lucky to meet a whole bunch of cool people through doing simple keyword searches based on shared interests, and then adding them as friends. (Here is my MySpace page if you’d like to become a part of that community). Incidentally, I’m sure the same technique has been a goldmine for niche-marketing by large companies.
Anyway, one such person who I stumbled across in this manner is an artist named Nemo out of Oregon. Nemo does cool psychedelic artwork which looks super hot through 3-D glasses. His art also draws on a huge range of traditional cultures, with some healthy doses of magick and esotericism mixed in. He sent me a bunch of small free posters and they are going to get a place of honor on my wall as soon as I get situated in a new apartment. (I’m sure looking at this stuff through 3-D glasses while you’re stoned would also be a blast as well… not that I engage in such things myself!)
In any event, I just wanted to say thanks to Nemo, and to recommend that you check out his website, blog and store (which also features work by other artists) if you’d like to get some of his fantastic work for yourself.
