Free War Laptop!
Just got sent a copy of this advertisement which Garrett said he pulled off MySpace:

Not a whole lot of commentary needed here, I don’t think. I don’t know what site this advertises, but it’s likely not worth mentioning. This ad uses a popular gimmick of online advertisements where they ask you a question and offer multiple choices to encourage you to click the ad. It plays on the same technique of encouraging you to be an expert and offer your opinion and promises to reward you for doing it.
We could of course get conspiratorial and ask why it’s the “no” box that is checkmarked, but it likely won’t get us anywhere…

It’s actually animated and flips back and forth, you just got to pick one (yes or no). The conspiracy is that the first screenshot I took said “yes”, but I thought the “no” would make more impact, so I retook it.

The silly B-movie-esque bad ass soldier basically creeps me out. What is he, the latest member of the Village People?
