If you haven’t been following the podcasts over at Alchemical Braindamage, you have been doing yourself a grave disservice. It took me way too long to catch up on all the episodes of it, but I am finally up to speed on the latest episodes, and I’m really thrilled that Zac has put these together. They really overlap a great deal with the subjects we have been covering here - especially over the past month or so. Zac has gone ahead and filled out a lot of details which were still very sketchy in my head, and has broadened my understanding of many issues in a way that will forever transform my thinking.
So, hopefully that ringing endorsement will encourage some people to get their asses in gear and catch up on the old episodes. He’s up to 20 as of this writing. They are really fun to listen to while operating out in the mundane world. Aside from a few friends who I discuss these types of issues with, it’s a real hoot to be taking the bus to work or walking through a grocery store and listening to heady conversations about apocalypse and conspiracy.
Anyway I wanted to highlight especially the last two episodes that Zac did, 19 and 20 which apply the Spiral Dynamics model so popular thanks to Ken Wilber and apply that to conspiracy theory. His premise is essentially that there is no overarching “conspiracy” per se, so much as there are simply different groups operating at different developmental levels of consciousness, and trying to gain a foothold in the world to protect their interests and values. Though I still cringe at certain aspects of the Spiral Dynamics model, these episodes are not to be missed, in my opinion.
