Recently my mind flashed back to an old old commercial I used to see when I was a kid. I would guess it was the late 80’s or early 90’s, and as best I can recall, it was funded by some kind of national or regional council on science. It featured a very snappy and memorable song which included the lyrics:

“Know the world, from A to Z
With science and technology
Astronomy biology, chemistry zoology
Science and technology
It’s fun you’ll see!”

Unfortunately, that seems to be the most complete listing of the lyrics anyone has published about this online. Does anybody else remember this commercial? I would very much like to get the complete lyrics published, and it would be even better to get a copy of this onto YouTube, maybe if someone has an old video recording of it nestled away in some other segment they taped off television…

It’s things like this which prove to me that technocracy isn’t just some fringe political dream, but the under-girding premise of our whole society.
