He and his brother are watching TV in their room at one point and either one of them or both of them are staring at the TV screen and there's like this looped animation...I can't remember it exactly, but my brain seems to be going with the image of one of those "God's Eye", mandala sorta shapes....but it kept repeating. I kinda like to think of it as a weird abstract pattern-message sent by a rogue Atari 2600 video game console that figured out how to do motion graphics on it's own, if that helps.

yeah, I remember that part. I really liked how the kids seemed like real kids. the characters were never too far one way or the other. I liked that. It reminded me a lot of friends I had in junior high.

speaking of columbine...have you seen "elephant"?

I don't remember what you're talking about with regards to Claude. Somebody told me that movie was allegedly an inspiration behind the Columbine shootings

My favorite part of that movie is when they are at the construction site and the one kid says to the girl that she's pretty or something. And then she says that he has nice eyelashes. I don't know. There's just something so perfect and simple about that interaction. All the kid actors in that are freakin rad.

I liked the mental image of the key that's been copied so many times that it now can't open it's original door...but might e able to open another one.

I watched Over the Edge again recently. That movie always seems to exist outside of time for me, personally.
