Birthday Madness!

Today is my 27th birthday and it feels great! I am going to take the day off and kick back “old school.” I thought this might be a good opportunity to hatch a plan I have been thinking about for a little while now: a brief and mild fundraiser. But you can just call it a birthday present if you like!

As for me, I wouldn’t say I desperately need donations, but it would certainly help. I have at this point achieved a dream that many people strive for: I’m able to live exclusively off my writing (that is, advertisements which I run on my writing online). And I have to admit that this is a pretty sweet set-up for me and I am enjoying it immensely. However, it would be nice to have a little extra padding in my bank account for unforeseen circumstances and for when things get lean. I make about double what I pay in rent right now, but not much more.

So if there’s anything you can do to help or just to show your appreciation for what is now almost four years worth of writing, exploration and community, then please hit the “make a donation” button on the upper right corner of my site, or send PayPal donations to holyrobot at hotmail dot com.

In any event, for those of you who live locally in Seattle, I will also be heading out to the bar in about 3-4 hours to get things started off with a bang! If you’d like to join me for however briefly, email me and I will tell you “where the party at.” (As I don’t feel like blasting it across the entire internet) Be sure to introduce yourself in your email if we haven’t already communicated previously (or even if we have, as I can be forgetful).

All in all, thanks for everyone out there who has helped make this site and my writing what it is. And more importantly, thanks to all the people in my life for simply being in my life. Your influence and support has been valuable beyond measure and it is I who am forever in your debt.

    Happy belted birthday, brother! This whole site has given me a lot of food for thought and new impetus to explore the fountain of spirit and mental freedom over the past three years (back when you were the occult investigator). Even though we barely post here anymore, we read it as much as ever. Even gonna start my own blog this year. Thanks for the inspirations and the forum.
