Everything around you is fucking: the candle on the dish, the deodorant under the armpit, the fingers on the keyboard. The entire universe can be understood by these borders.

Euler realized an extraordinary pattern generalization. Euler doesn't phrase it in these words, but I will give you my own phrasing of what Euler said. He said "All visual experiences can be reduced to three fundamental aspects. There are visual experiences that are trajectories something is in motion leaves a trail; or, I scratch that's leaving a trail, or I leave a deposit of an amount of chalk that's a trail. There are trajectories, and where two trajectories cross we get a fix. That will give you a location. And, if then, a plurality of lines crosses the same line and comes back and crosses itself and has then a perimeter, a closure, then you have areas. And he said then that lines, and areas, and crossings, or fixes, are never to be confused one with another, and all visual experiences are reducible into those three. So you can look at any picture you've ever seen, and I would say it does not include the color it could be any color; and looking at that picture you can say, consider that line, that's an outline of a face. You can decide that this is a crossing or a point (it would be the same), it is not an area, but if the point is big enough you think it's an area and you can make a line around it; and Euler found that when you decided what it is you are looking at in the picture and you take inventory that is a line, that is an area, and that is a crossing. Then, he said, the numbers of the crossings, which he also, because lines are crossing and converging as they cross, called a vertex coming towards one another, indicating, working towards a point; so he said, the number of vertexes plus the numbers of areas (if it's a flat picture on the wall) will equal the number of lines plus the number one.

-Buckminster Fuller "Everything I Know"

The Devil represents the way people look on the inside - without any skin. RawRed interface rubbing chickenthighbreasts together.

thinking outloud, caps letters indicate some degree of 'archetypality' as per usual:
There is a Devilish aspect to the volatile (Mercurial, hence the horns?) perception, which can be easily seen if you try to pin it down, though circumscribed in its motion, it is Adversarial in such a primal way, to the point of complementarity.

The Satan is also Saturn (horned Kronos) god of time, which cannot manifest other than through the flowing volatile (not fixed) perception. Saturn is known to keep treasure in his dungeon and he is black like the first stage of the Work. So he has a restrictive, binding role, he cuts off possibilities, but is not evident outside of the action of Mercury. Does this intuitive exploration jibe with tradition? From Atalanta Fugiens:

Nor is it indeed without reason that Mercury is called the Messenger or Interpreter & as it were the running intermediate Minister of the other Gods & has Wings fitted to his head & feet [...] Mercury, therefore, is Wind, which takes Sulphur, [...] being yet an imperfect Embryo out of the Mother's belly or out of the Ashes of the Mother's body burned, & carries it thither where it may be brought to maturity.

I am a true neutral human druid ranger spell sword. I didn't do the las test.

I think I am true neutral because I chose to ignore the two thugs robbing the merchant.

I think I have a cast of characters inside me though.

About those Dand D monster books. I think they are great too. I think thay all really exist somewhere and the artists just channel them.

> I read somewhere the other day that the purpose of research into artificial intelligence, AI, is not to create conscious robots, but to create unconscious people.

Probably right.

I had a meeting once with some guys from a very large player in this sort of thing, all very hush-hush. They explained what they were doing, in the field of the overlap between biology and machines, and one of our guys said, 'Ah, you're making little machines that behave like ants, right?' And I, having just read a sci-fi novel on the subject, joked, 'No, they're taking slices of rat brain and putting them in missiles'. And the /look/ I got all of a sudden.... and then they all just sort of looked round the room and whistled with feigned innocence. Really trippy moment.
