Good grief! Do I intrude on other people's lives and tell them *they're* boring?

Ahhh, spring time, open windows, breath of fire...

To be honest I haven't understood your blog since it became mythopoetic/genetic. Nor would I have resonated with this post but for the fact that, not one week ago, I re(dis)covered both King and Goddess in my life! The only difference is that I ate the snake. What was I thinking?

Thank you!

ok i already sent you the kali thing; but thought you'd enjoy that this is the song stuck in my head: "the worms crawl in, the worms crawl out, the worms play penuchle on your snout, the little GREEN bugs with eyes so RED, crawl in your liver and out your head..."
my morbid sister used to torture me with that vision of death when i was little [no wonder i turned out like this]. remind me and i'll tell you about the cobra punching holes through my chakras another time....

i know the fairy tale Tim is speaking of, i heard jean housten tell it once ; the point is something like, the young man has to discover the thing that all women most want, then the old hag will free him or something.

AH! I found it : "The Marriage of Sir Gawain and Dame Ragnell" hahaha of course it all begins with a lady asking king arthur for a BOON and of course the hag wears SCARLET....
here's wiki's synopsis

yes, howl's moving castle was along those lines, and really quite good; up there with sprited away.
when you tap the archtypal story, it rings true and reverberates everywhere, because it IS everywhere...

There is a fairy tale I meant to include as well but forgot, and which I also don’t know the origin of. In it an old ugly hag marries a young man - I think - and he has to basically accept and love her as she is after which point she turns into a beautiful young woman or some such…

Mmm? I'm sure you're probably thinking of something else, but a lot of stories seem to gather water from a common well.

You know, I never quite know what to say when I comment on any of your writings, but I always feel compelled to say something anyway. Usually what comes out is a bunch of ill thought out nonsense or a silly question, but that isn't because I'm confused or off put or unfamiliar with what you write about and how you choose to write about it. It's just that you seem to have a talent for posting words and images that coincide perfectly with my life at the time and carry meanings I hadn't thought of before. Is that your secret plan? To make your readers realize we've all been collecting fragments of our ultimate boons as we follow your own story?

I feel I never really add much to the ideas you've assembled when I try to, so I think I'll do something a little different and just be honest: your recent posts have been beautiful mood-boosts in an otherwise pretty rough month.

Yes. Exactly that. Actual Love (*not* the wishy-washy Newage type) of/from The Beloved is the transcending/transforming grace. This is why the tale of Nicholas and Perinnelle Flanel, so bowlderised in Harry Potter, emphasised that Nick did his best work when Peri was in the laboratory - implying that she *was* the laboratory.

But bear in mind this is the viewpoint of someone who regularly communes with his Goddess through distinctly left-hand sex yogas... (but from the choices of Kali-ma and others above, I think you know that vibe already.)

Though the transformation/connection with the Beloved can occur through 'dry' spiritual/meditative means, the 'moist' way of actual sexual activity has advantages, other than the obvious fun ones.

...I say our crude Sperm flows from a Trinity of Substances in one Essence, of which two are extracted out of the earth of their Nativity by the third, and then become a milky Virgin-like Nature, drawn from the Menstruum of our sordid Whore.

The matter lies before the eyes of all; everybody sees it, touches it, loves it, but knows it not.

Know that our Mercury is before the eyes of all men, though it is known to few. When it is prepared, its splendour is most admirable; but the sight is vouchsafed to none, save the sons of knowledge. Do not despise it, therefore, when you see it in sordid guise; for if you do, you will never accomplish our Magistery -- and if you can change its countenance, the transformation will be glorious. For our water is a most pure virgin, and is loved of many, but meets all her wooers in foul garments, in order that she may be able to distinguish the worthy from the unworthy. Our beautiful maiden abounds in inward hidden graces; unlike the immodest woman who meets her lovers in splendid garments.
