Awesome! I used to watch TMWRNJ (where the funny sketch is from) when I was like 11 or 12 years old.
One of its creators, the jesus, Stewart Lee also happens to be the best English stand up comedian working today.
He made Jerry Springer: The Opera, starring Jesus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Springer_-_The_Opera) and is currently touring a show called What Would Judas Do.
His previous stand up masterpieces 90’s Comedian (http://www.gofasterstripe.com/cgi-bin/website.cgi?page=videofull&id=6) and Stand Up Comedian are well worth checking out (and available for free if you know where to look).
Oh, and reading this blog I am starting to fully understand people who “find Christ” and learning how to read such things on a symbolic level. Thanks! It coincides with my own rising from the dead so to speak, and while Jesus himself didn’t pay a personal visit, I’m sure whatever he is the avatar of did.

Has anyone heard or read about the theory that Jesus’ raising of Lazarus and Jesus’ own rising from the dead were symbolic rebirths as part of an initiation rite into a mystery cult? I can’t remember where I read this (very unhelpful, I know; did I read that on this site?) but it made a lot of sense to me.

Well yeah of course that’s what they are. But they are also more than that.
