The elk can represent victory
Elk hands hide me. The land love Lord my God save me from the shields and arrows of your out un-rageous re-fortune.

The bottom rune represents the foundation that forms the basis of the issue. Ehwaz is representative of the eight-legged horse ridden by the god Odin. I saw some of these in the Narnia videos we watched set to music by Journey last night. The two very epically went together. Oh, I am talking about centaurs and Saggitarrius. Always my most trusted allies. I saw one again tonight. He said he had to run. As such, this is the rune of controlled movement and travel, including the pursuit of an objective or station in life. I was asking it whether or not I should rent a car. Since some older sources show Odin not as a man riding a horse but as a centaur-like being, this rune can also represent the union of man and nature, or the fusion of two entities in perfect harmony.
I like that last one pretty good.

As this rune is reversed, this could bode poorly for travel or for the vehicle involved. Don’t rent a car because you might die either literally or spiritually. You are where you are supposed to be. In the more spiritual sense, this rune could represent difficulties in self-improvement or other attempts at advancement. Well, yeah, obviously. Finally, it may represent a splitting of two or the inability of two to act as one.
Yes, that is the problem.
Something else told me to write about the hurt. So this may be a good format. Very oblique. Probably very puzzling. Interspersed with rune readings from online sources. The left rune represents one of the forces acting on the issue at hand. And it’s a good force; check this out:
Algiz can be easily recognized as the antlers of the elk that it represents. The elk can represent victory, (someone said something about their father having elk?) but is much more appropriately associated with the thrill of the hunt itself. She is a hunter, or wants to be. The lioness who maybe only toys with her prey but refuses to kill it out of kindness. This rune therefore can portend vigor and success in active endeavors.

Also, this rune seems symbolic of a hand with outstretched fingers - a protective hand. This hand may suggest that you will be shielded from things negative - the problems still exist, you are spared the brunt of their force. This accounts for us not being killed early last week then I guess. Rock on elk power! We ate you last night. In fact we seem to be back onto that karmic slot pattern. We didn’t do it right before. We’re being given a moon door to try it again. What can we do differently elk god lord forest spirit? The Devil was by earlier but I’m not going to ask him. She just left to go to the house of the Moon goddess who last night was in ecstasy though her Sun God Helios seemed preoccupied.
Satan was there too. He used to work for the sheriff’s office. He pretended to rape a pitt bull to “show who was top dog” in front of everyone. The pit bull was not too impressed and only didn’t kill the man for his own reasons. Probably because he is protective of us dumb people. He also fought a demon in the shed all night.
The right rune represents another of the forces acting on the issue at hand. Tell me about it. Thurisaz represents a thorn, the most basic of barriers to our boon or our bane. Every rose has its thorn. I wanna lay you down on a bed of roses. Shot down in a blaze of glory… In the case of hedges, thorns protect our encampments from that which skulks towards us from the outlands. Every rose has its thorn and I want to lay you down on a blaze of glory. I wrote that on a painting I started for her last night. In the case of rosebushes, thorns keep us from beauty. I don’t know if I agree with that. I think maybe they are more of a prerequisite of beauty. Or maybe that’s what the difference is between a rose heart person and the white lilly heart person. The rose heart person believes that love has to hurt. The lilly heart person has transcended such notions. A friend of mine, easily described as a Lilly Maid, before I left to come down here gave me a white rose with the thorns shorn off. Maybe she was helping to transform my rose heart into a lilly heart. Though thorns are passive and have no thoughts, they puncture, tear, and may even be poisonous. Hence, this rune may also represent irrational violence and anger.

The top rune represents the conclusion to which your strivings can carry you. Inguz is the rune of completion and fertility. Well thank fucking God. The presence of this rune suggests that tasks which have been initiated will come to fruition. Okay but it is damned hard here in the meantime. This rune is associated with Ing and Frey (I saw a shirt that said “ANG ING ONG” on it today and puzzled over it immensely), it is this connection that explains its connotations of both fertility and sexuality. The variant of this rune shown here is reminiscent of the twin strands of life, and of the challenge and rewards of bringing together things complimentary.
Well doesn’t that just wrap up into a neat little package? I understand how to read divination now because I realize this is what I have been writing for the past few months on my site: real-time internet divinations on my self and my life based around the junctures of media reference points and personal and archetypal dramas I am currently trapped in. She is at the Moon House. I am listening to Bitches’ Brew by Miles Davis. Miles runs the voodoo down. I woke up with that song title in my head today. And now I check and there it is. There is the sound of change jingling on the table when the music gets crazy. It better be the right kind of change. Cause this is ridiculous.

His trumpet the bugling of male elks in the rutting season.
Daughter of the Fisher King. Mother of the Grail Knight. Elaine is also Lancelot’s mother his spiritual mother who births to fruition through the trickery of her father the Devil Illusionist the Grail Knight Galahad who is the purification of Lancelot through the last of the Great Trials the game of LoveLifeDeath™ itself.
This Wikipedia article does not say what it just said thirty seconds ago. Proof that I just leapt laterally to another parallel dimension? I goddamned hope so. Maybe something happened at the Moon House. Or maybe it’s that last hit.

A great book about dogs: Secret Life of Dogs. Written by an antrhopologist who grafts her scientific view of humans onto dogs Worth a read.
I will echo her point here with my own experience. My family has always had pet dogs. In 36 years I have seldom been without a pooch at my side. There is only one thing dogs truly want in this world and it is to be with more dogs.
If you get yourself a dog consider getting two. It IS twice everything - twice the work, twice the expense and twice the hassle BUT it is 6 times the pleasure.
And as Mr. Matthews suggests, I am off to build a bomb of love and blow it up. Now reason at all that the “terrorists” (whomever they may be) should have the fun.

As usual miraculous stuff from you. As usual, there’s so much I’d love to say. As usual, my mouth is sewed shut from saying what I want so I have to grunt out something in these things called “letters” and “words”…which to choose…
Thoughts on Divination. What the hell is it? A thought came to me the other day, that life divines itself. We divine the bigger situations through the smaller ones. Runes, tarot, etc are complety incidental. So if we figure out divination conciously, its actually something we can use all the time to connect everything, so see everything (God) in everything else.
But there are tricks. The bottom line is that divination is about COMMUNICATION and that’s something we seem to have a very hard time doing in general. The truth be told, I don’t the responses we get from the universe are never vague, they are precise. Its just that we are always trying to give God a Rorschach test, throw some half baked thought at Him to see what he’ll do, but God won’t collapsed down like that. This is because he’s too big to fit into our little schemes, though I’ll bet he does everything he can to try to play.
So that’s the big thing before divination begins. We have to ask ourselves what it is we really want, and then be prepared to communicate that DIRECTLY with the universe. It seems over simple, but really I think we waste vast amounts of energy on being indirect with ourselves about what we really want.
I think it works for “magick”/manifestion beyond divination too. Generally, I get what I want when I do this, and when I see somebody else doing it I am usually eager to help them get what they want. Yet for some reason we rarely do it, its the greatest power and we never use it. Why? Maybe its becaus we are addicted to potential of what could be, and terrified to manifest it because it always reduces the potential. Or maybe that’s just me.
The point is, divination is like easy once you know yourself and what you want. The rest is details.
(P.S. Love the part about the Fisher King / The Devil. What a combination. Though I muse say for some reason Santa claus leapt to mind. Hard to explain why, just another unfinished thought I guess…or something….)

Yes, we insist, two dogs at least. It’s settled then. As a bonus dogs notice invisible things, diagnose illnesses and can help you notice what kind of mood you’re in if you’re too preoccupied to notice it yourself.

Good points, Julia. Having been around dogs for so long I guess I started to take for granted their “occult” powers and sensibilities. Plus, I love the way they smell.
