Today is the Fake Solstice here in Seattle. Happy Fake Solstice everybody! I don’t really even know what the real Solstice is supposed to mean anyway, so I hardly know what the Fake Solstice is all about…. Maybe that’s exactly what it’s all about. Supposedly there is like naked bicycle riding or something during the Solstice Parade here in Seattle. Never been, but that’s what I hear.

Been doing a bit of naked bicycle riding here myself all day, working on the script of this musical. It’s actually going really well. The first draft is pretty much completed at about 25 pages in all. It focuses on the much-whispered-over Da Vinci Code-style romantic angle between Jesus and Magdalene and explores the same basic story told through all the characters in different ways. It is an operatic (read: orphic) alchemical romance in the grand tradition of West Side Story, Romeo & Juliet, Adam & Eve and every other damn thing you’ve ever heard of because all things tell the same basic story…

That’s sufficiently vague I hope. Because my fingertips are actually hurting from typing. It’s the weirdest thing. I hope I don’t have miniature bruises on each of them. For now, all I will do is starting seeding search engine algorithms ahead of time and throw a bunch of reference[+]points used in the musical into your own (trance)personal holographic renderers.

Actually, an interesting exercise would also dovetail into the philosophical purpose of the movie. Without going into detail right now (fuck this hurts), take these dozen or however many videos and begin chopping up their lyrics to fit the story of Jesus as it appears in your own life. Don’t worry if what comes out of my version is different than your version. That’s part of the whole point.

PS. These are in (my) order, but feel free to change the magic code symbolic sequence freakquency thing as well as the songs, etc to suit your own version of the story.

That should be easie enough, right? Learn to love the other as you would have yourself be loved so that you learn to live the greatest gift you’ll ever learn is just to love and to be loved in return.
