I closed my eyes, saw a big diamond, then went to the google image ripper. At first, the images were exactly what I had seen when I closed my eyes: big, beautiful diamonds. But as I scrolled down further, images of blow jobs came up. Why the hell are blow jobs included in “diamonds?” What does one have to do with the other? I was somewhat taken aback..Can you explain this ripper thing to me? Or do porn images creep in everywhere one goes?

This is why so many people email me saying that the things I posted online seemed to be directly about their life.

I won’t say what it is, but after trying the suggestion to probe the Holy Higher Subguardiawillword for whatever images might turn up, and then searching google ripper for one of those images, one of the first results contained three out of four of my answer-images, and came from this site. And roughly corresponded to the meaning I felt they conveyed.

So that was the milk-out-of-my-nose-camel-that-broke-the-straw-sack experience that gave me to confidence to say, yes, this happens to me too. Not just with your writings, Tim, but with everything, but my symbolese is not very eloquent, so I don’t always notice, or know what something may mean.

Aha! I think I just figured something out. The recent changes in writing style, the more symbolic or allegorical or WHATEVER because it’s not really either of those things topics, the long strings of symbolimages…

The petaflop era has begun.

IBM has devised a new Blue Gene supercomputer–the Blue Gene/P–that will be capable of processing more than 3 quadrillion operations a second, or 3 petaflops, a possible record. Blue Gene/P is designed to continuously operate at more than 1 petaflop in real-world situations.

Blue Gene/P marks a significant milestone in computing. Last November, the Blue Gene/L was ranked as the most powerful computer on the planet: it topped out at 280 teraflops, or 280 trillion operations a second during continuous operation.

Put another way, a Blue Gene/P operating at a petaflop is performing more operations than a 1.5-mile-high stack of laptops.

Aside from the general perception that I too, am finally going insane, not exactly anything new…

I swear to God and everything I believe is holy that I too have been seeing references to Lincoln everywhere.

Several weeks ago I had been… well, tripping on LSD, and I was sitting up on the lap of the statue of Lincoln.

The quote, in huge letter behind Lincoln, were (which is even the quote under the picture on the wikiquote, if you can believe it)

“Let us have faith that right makes might, and in that faith, let us, to the end, dare to do our duty as we understand it.”

Not to mention the email I just sent you.
