Why were they pissed off? Whoever set it probably aimed for your head is my guess. Probably the Devil. Or the little blue sad dragon - since fireworks smell like sulphur. Depends on their intentions and the effect, I suppose. Not that anyone really could come up with a good reason to do a thing like that though. I do hope you’re alright. I saw fireworks that looked like an angel so maybe thats what hit you.

I shot this girl with a firecracker on New Years Eve in the outer banks of North Carolina a few years ago, when I was living in New York. I was lighting bottle rockets off a table (and making a mess of the table in the process) and one of the offshoot flames from that lit one and fired it right at her leg. I felt both sorry and somehow vindicated. And then I threw up on the beach in the moonlight with John. Which brings it all around full circle - there’s a lot of that circling going around… round and round she goes
