I am wearing black for the next three days. Last night something happened. Something happens again on the 7th. And then it should be either complete by the 13th or at least in full swing enough that it by then can’t be stopped. I have a bunch of Yes albums coming down the pipe. Awesome. I couldn’t believe last night while at the Gasworks fireworks (?) that people were actually saying “Whoa!” so much. And actual exclamations of delight. You almost never hear that anymore, it seems. I think I saw an angel in the sky though, so I get it. Even if I wasn’t saying it, my heart was.

The Statue of Liberty fell down in front of us: three fat girls tumbling on top of one another. One flipped fully upside down and landed on the other’s head and they just continued laughing because that’s how free they were last night. The mighty Wamu head of Moloch watched out over Lake Union, its body a writhing mass of bubbling flesh. This is your god a helicopter kept screaming. We passed by the standards and guardians of Imperial Rome. The whole world is indoors. The whole world is an airport. Where are you flying to tonight?

Morpheus is spoken of in the Metamorphoses of Ovid. He sleeps on an ebony bed in a dimly lit cave, surrounded by poppy flowers. Ovid suggests that Morpheus has a special talent for mimicking human form in dreams. According to Ovid, Morpheus concentrated on the human elements of dreams, his brothers Phobetor and Phantasos being responsible for animals and inanimate objects, respectively.

Now that we’re in Hell, what do we do? I already ate the food. At least it was fish though. It wasn’t very good. I think this is a different type of challenge though. It’s more of a waiting game. It’s more about purity of the heart, chastity even in a classical sense. Peeling from my wrist now are dried rose petals in the accidental shape of my skin where it was cut. It feels like having a bracelet of thorns. Later it will just feel like flowers, I can tell.

For the soul has found for the first time a companion whose sympathy is perfect and whose Presence is continuous. It is not, necessarily, that the soul consciously attends every instant to this new intimate, so much as that she is never wholly unconscious of him. For the Friendship, as so formed, is not an end in itself. Christ’s desire is indeed to consummate it as soon as may be; yet it cannot be consummated by His mere desire. The soul herself must be educated, must be purified and cleansed so perfectly as to be united with Him by nothing except His grace. She must be first purged and then illuminated, first stripped of herself and then adorned with His favours, before she is fit for her final union. These two stages are named by spiritual writers, the Way of Purgation and the Way of Illumination, respectively: and our subject now is the Way of Purgation.

Our subject now is the Way of Purgation. Our subject now is being stripped away of all impurities to which you cling and call by your own name falsely. This is the power of the Deceivers: to get you to apply your own name to them and thereby make it so.

It is Aramaic for “Be Opened!” Also spelled variously as EPHPHATHA, from the root power words seed syllables thinware gossamer seedpetal query command consciousness atolls “PH” and “TH” which together bespeak of the generative powers of the mysteries of manifestation: EPHPHATHA BE OPENED.

31 And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.

32 And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.

The bonds you wear are those wounds you chose to bear in order to keep near the fear of your purified glorified self. The wounds you carry in this life will be abilities within the next.

I want you to try an experiment with the weirding way. Try to fax yourself across the room. Not yourself, but the seed generative desire which flows out of the truth of yourself.

Then after that, try to PHTHAX instead of just a regular “fax.” And try the PHTHRUTH instead of just the “truth.”

Also try to photocopy the right side of your body over onto the top of the left side of your body and then vice versa. Make it all symmetrical.

Isn’t this starting to feel like a reunion episode before the series is cancelled and spun off into countless spin-offs? One final quote, and may this be the one which opens our way to the next world and the next life: “That’s the thing about lions: they always come out lambs and a lamb is nothing without an altar.” The altar of course is the table upon which you make a sacrifice before God in thanksgiving to feed your friends and loved ones.
