Manners Are Ritual Value Exchanges

I just emailed Kevin from Cryptogon (& Farmlet) about a couple of things. He has some system set up on his email where the first time you send him a message, it has this whole robotic response thing that asks you to verify your address. Then when it’s verified, you get added to a “white list” and a bunch of other cool-sounding shit.

Who knows how effective the whole thing is, but it plays nicely into the storyline perpetuated by his website and what he reveals of himself as a character in the public eye. It also made me reflect for a moment on how important rituals and manners are when interacting with people. It’s like, if you want to communicate or interact with certain people in certain ways, you know there are symbolic code sequences (volitional actions) which you must take in order to do so and they must conform to a set criteria of rules or else you will fail to transmit value.

This is a window into the future. Symbolic code sequence translators and volitional modulation devices pairing up and interacting with one another in order to establish a common frame of reference points within which to communicate!
