Should we being trying to protect our feeds from indexing and re-use? Doesn’t that defeat the point of the technology?

One way splogging is made easy through Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds. In a nutshell, RSS feeds allow anyone to subscribe to your blog and have new content automatically fed to you in the background such that the subscriber can view your new blog post at his or her leisure. They also allow unscrupulous people to take your content and quickly and easily publish it as their own, filled with ads or keyword stuffed links pointing to another domain.

Who is programming for the Chinese government?

New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark yesterday assured reporters that no classified information had been compromised but confirmed that she believes that foreign-government spies were behind the cyberattack.

While Clark said officials know which government was behind the attack, she would not name the country suspected.

Starting to sound like Cryptonomicon around here…
