Freemason Electronic Data Handshakes and Passcodes
The reason this falls apart, in some sense though, is interesting: the act of “conspiracy” implies that there is a closed shared value community which is operating as a unit (spiritual credit union) for the mutual benefit of members.
Why is this necessarily wrong?
And how is that different from what Kevin from Cryptogon himself is doing? He has created a shared value community around himself (much like I have) of people who donate money because they find value within his work. And now, he has a Freemasonic electronic handshake mechanism that figures out whether or not I am a real person in fact.
The assumptions underlying such a strategy of authentication:
- What are you really verifying? That I am a human? Is that all you want to know? Don’t you also want to know what kind of human I am, which one in particular, and what makes me tick, and maybe even the best way to communicate with me?
- It’s not really even verifying that I am human, but only that I am an algorithm of an above-average degree of intelligence, or coded intelligently enough to simulate this impression.
- So all you are really doing is verifying that I am at least a semi-intelligent algorithm or a dumb human. It’s a start, but only a baby step in developing a true shared value community.
How else could you improve it? Why would you want to improve it?
