[...] This flush of power combined with the dawning realization that an individual is responsible for their own internal state creates also the feeling, “If I did this, then anyone can do it.” I maintain that self-mastery and the cessation of suffering is the true and authentic state of every human being. Heaven is a place on earth, as the song says. Anyone can get there. But not everyone knows that this is the case, and if they do know of the possibility, they may not know how to get there. And if they do know how to get there, they may not be ready to. They may need help or support. A superhero who acts without humility basically says “Fuck you!” to those people, because they have not achieved the state he has achieved. But as we all know, the point of a superhero is to help people. When you become that powerful, there’s really nothing else you can do - because simply taking over the world would be far too easy of a challenge! [...]

[...] Maybe that kind of attitude let’s you get by, but that’s it. It won’t ever do more than that and it won’t enable you to expand, grow, change or flourish. Surviving is radically different from living or from living the “good life” which sages and philosophers of old quested after and which you yourself can live today, right here and now if you apply yourself conscientiously.
[...] I was initially skeptical of the Four Agreements by don Miguel Ruiz, but now I completely get it. He’s 100% right, according to my experience. And it is literally possible to “live in heaven“. There are certain things which must be overcome through a process of inner union or yoking (yoga) before that can happen though: The mitote can be compared to a huge marketplace where thousands of people are talking at the same time, and nobody understands each other. This is the condition of the human mind - a big mitote, and with that big mitote we cannot see what we really are. In India they call the mitote maya, which means illusion. It is the personality’s notion of “I am.” We cannot see who we truly are; we cannot see that we are not free. [...]

The other choice is: nothing is imperfect. Everything is as it should be. But most people are not anywhere near ready to hear that.

Am I making any sense at all?

I get it. Did God say that He was imperfect or did God say that copies are imperfect?

Imperfection is created through choice: through choosing not to do the hard work to master yourself and letting imperfection be "good enough"

Like, how can something created in the image of the Creator be imperfect? Unless that's the point, that things created in the image of other things are imperfect. Or that perfection can only be achieved in this respect through multiplicity. Or that this is how imperfection was created? Am I making any sense at all?

Well, OK, but my theology really isn't up to the challenge.

When Man is created, chapter 2 goes on to say that this was the first thing that /wasn't good/. How weird is that?! Exactly /what/ 'wasn't good' was that Man needed company. Now in the beginning, whose image was Man created in? Is the author trying to tell us something about the Creator? That Man created in the image of the divine is incomplete without a feminine component? Or what?

I've often thought this to be interesting: Man is created in His image, found to need company, then Woman is also created in His image. What's going on here?

Thus, contrary to Christian belief, the Christ event did not occur once and for all time in the person of the Jew, Yehoshua HaNotzri, or "Jesus of Nazareth". This, Jung tells us happens through the implanting, by the Self, of its archetype of the "Paraclete," or Holy Ghost.
