Real Life Acting Tip #2: Picking Fruit
They say that grocery stores are a great place to meet women. I don’t know who “they” are and I haven’t ever actually tried to pick up a woman at the grocery store: but it seems like an entertaining pastime.
For others who might enjoy such activities, try this out: stand in the fruit section and be extremely studious about your fruit selection. I am not saying be overly picky. I am saying, get a feel for the fruit. Does it seem ripe or is it too squishy, too green still? I think men tend to gloss over activities like this because they are “task oriented”: MUST GET FRUIT. But women tend to still be more process-oriented and sensory/somatic (a generalization, of course). So you’ll tend to see that this is the way they pick fruit: they take their time about it and make sure it is the right fruit. This is also (partially) why women in our culture also tend to derive more enjoyment out of the act of shopping itself. I would wager that it has roots in evolutionary psychology, athough I wouldn’t bet the whole farm on it.
So, a dead simple way to “appear” more interesting to women - as a man - is to adopt these characteristics when choosing fruit. It sends subtle visual/emotional cues about your ability to discerningly provide for. An even better and more direct way to express this same underlying concept would be: become more capable of being able to discerningly provide for, and you will likely become more attractive to women.
Worth a shot, right? If nothing else, consider it method-acting advice for the musical of life.

[…] Fruit can be judged in many ways: by its physical appearance, by squeezing it in your hand, by smelling it, by biting into it, and tasting it. But the sweetness of fruit and the fact that it tastes good and is nourishing is only a side-effect of its true biological purpose. What is a fruit? Fruit is an enlarged ovary with seeds in it. The nourishment of the fruit attracts birds and animals to eat and then disperse the seeds. Or the fruit that falls to the ground acts as a bit of fertilizer to prepare the ground with nutrients for the new plant which will grow from those seeds. […]
