Even if there is such a thing as soul mates and or the force that created them you can still choose to screw it up with that person. You write as though the notion of having something good handed to you offends you. Why is that? If someone handed you a million dollars, for the moment you would be rich. But, as you are indeed the driver in your life, you could choose to go out and spend every penny on the same day and no longer be rich. Why such contempt for the person who handed you the money? They weren't forcing you to be wealthy. They were merely offering you the chance. Whether you take it or not is up to you. You’re always the driver.
