When Jesus said all that stuff at the Last Supper, what he meant was not an obscure esoteric or theological point. He simply meant that the wine and the food - the excuses he and his friends got together to celebrate one another’s company over - those were the true substance of what he was, what he had become, and the true essence of his “teaching”.
