I would like to offer the following tentative plan for social engineers and whatever other conspiracy bad guys may be out there planning the so-called “crash of civilization.”

What if instead of like killing everybody off with a plague or massively destructive weapons or corralling everybody into pens, how bout we declare a Jubilee year, and have everyone’s debts nullified, set back to zero, and we can start our calendar over again as well. “Year Zero” or something like that.

Do you think the “bad guys” (who I believe are just people with understandable motivations, like anyone else) would go for that sort of thing? Why or why not? How do debts give “them” power? Why does the Bible forbid usury? How does the threat of a market collapse give them more power than a market collapse? If the market collapsed, you wouldn’t be able to pay your bills anyway, so why worry?

In any case, we blew the ram’s horn at our “Graduation Party” this weekend anyway, so I think technically the Jubilee year has already begun anyway. No way to stop it now. The captives are already being freed…
