Skills List Redundancy
Good questions from Ted:
I have a question about the “shared value community” what are the values?
Also I notice quite a bit of redundancy in the skills list, I even left some stuff out that I was going to add to mine, because I saw it on other people’s lists. Seems kind of almost like a guild for anti-authoritartian computer nerds into alternative spirituality and conspiracy theories, plus we like dogs.
Well the first question may answer the second observation: perhaps the areas of redundancy at the “shared values”. But I would personally say that these areas of overlap point towards the shared values, which themselves cannot be directly expressed (except through particular forms!).
You observations here are great though: what *are* the areas that all the people who’ve created skill inventories have overlap in? Why do you think we have these areas of overlap? What does each particular area point us towards as far as creative possibilities go? Lastly, how can we make our skill lists more practical, useful and expressive about what value we as individuals and a group offer to our fellows and to the world at large?
Anybody want to take a crack at keeping a master list of skill inventories?
