well one of the things we value as far as i can tell is that we all make attempts to understand one another even though we don’t all interface with reality the same way. if you don’t want to include ‘differences,’ then why not have it be similarities?

how about ‘value multiple perspectives.’ or heck, if you wanna cut to the chase, how about “Value” as something we value?

Why should we focus on the differences among interpretations and opinions though? Focusing on differences reinforces differences.

I can see that, but I think the subject of #2 to me was the Openness aspect. Experience should definitely be in there, though; maybe a #4?

I like where you’re going, but I think we can streamline it:

1. Respect
2. Experience
3. Abundance

All of which should be mutual. This gives me a good base. I will think about this more at lunch!

so what do the members of your community agree is important?

1. mutual respect in spite of differences of opinion
2. openness to alternative interpretation of mutual experience (sociocultural)
3. humour/fun/music (Joy) (”Don’t take error too seriously” — The Gospel of Truth)
