I used to work at a dog daycare place: basically a big room where I would run around with a pack of dogs and play ball and stuff with them. It was an awesome job and I learned a hell of a lot in a short time doing it. Been thinking back to something my boss used to do there: if any of the dogs acted up or got too aggressive while they were playing she would put on an exaggerated performance to show them that they had hurt her. She would make a pained look on her face and say “Ow!” in a really dramatic yet convincing voice and then hold her arm or whatever like she was mortally wounded. And the dogs would immediately feel bad and realize what they had done. It was totally amazing to watch. Those dogs love and respect her unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
