So you’re saying that is how you feel, yes?

Now that I've noticed it it happens when I'm trying to figure out how to fix things. For years I was just annoyed.

SELFISH CHARITY

or

SELFISH CHARITIES

That's really good. I would buy a .org domain name around that possibly, but someone else should feel free to do so and make selfish charitable money off it!

I need a word like ‘greed’, except that it means pursuing what’s truly best for yourself by pursuing what’s truly best for others.

How about "selfish"? The word is commonly thrown around so negatively, but it doesn't have to be that way. You can be selfish, considerate, and empathetic at the same time.

Okay! I will work on that. That's a good homework assigment for me. Proudhon's Mutualism comes near to that in some ways but we need a handy nouveau slogan thingy. I think the Art of Peace also connects to that as well, but neither of those really nails it at all. It will come to me!

While you are diligently searching for your calling you will be constantly interrupted by people needing help with the most tedious, never wracking, boring tasks. Everytime you feel close to your ultimate destiny you'll just miss it. After several years of this you'll figure it out. Don't say you weren't warned.
