Fascinating list of revolutions and rebellions on Wikipedia shows just how littered history is with people rising up against what they perceive to be oppression.
Looking at this as I have a developing interest in the early history of the American Revolution, the circumstances and men who formed it, as well as the historical ideological background out of which it seems to have sprung: Natural Law, Freemasonry, the Illuminati, etc. It strikes me that there is a significant lack of common knowledge about this very important time period nowadays.
