We are all used to think about money in very narrow terms, we believe that money is something our government tells us we can use as money. But the truth is that money is anything that people agree to use as means of exchange. If you choose to accept one of these notes as payment, you will make it become money.

Totnes Pound project is an invitation to co-create a bottom-up, community currency. These notes will only have value if the community of Totnes decides to use them. We are inviting all of you to join this new game, and offering you an opportunity to co-create our own Totnes money.
