Another question I’ve been pondering: a whole bunch of major news websites, they have temporary URL’s which fade away after a certain amount of time. I see this often when I go back through old articles of mine which have links and quotes from what were once current news stories. When you click on the link back to the source, it has been moved or removed. This happens ALL THE TIME. Is there a good technological reason for this or is there something else behind it - more ad revenues maybe by increasing page views?
