Information As Currency Relies On Source Valuation

One of the connective threads running between the Google PR scandal and my recent forays into electronic and community currencies…

The value of information is partially determined by the source of that information. If information comes from a known trustworthy source, then it is more likely to be trustworthy. I believe Google’s PageRank system is designed to be a programmatic answer to the question of how to determine source and information trustworthiness.
