I was just thinking about society of mind when a friend wrote me about an epiphone where she realized a book she was reading (I can't remember the name) didn't actually have a plot, it was rather a commentary on how language literally writes our world. Then she went on to make a commentary about her cat, which had the same name as somebody else in my life, and seemed to be a perfect metaphor for what was happening with this other person as well. It tripped me out, it made me think words had a life of their own, and we were just manifesting them in some way, which is somehow related. This is such amazing stuff.
