Secret Societies Are Not Evil
It occurs to me that there is a clear and definite reason that secret societies have been painted in such a negative light - it is an oblique attack on two other fundamental rights: the right to privacy and the right to free assembly. Combine those two together: the right to assemble privately for your own private ends with your friends. Why is this wrong? Why is this evil? It’s not. It cannot be.
