Subjects I plan on devouring within the coming week or so… (you may want to study up):
- Collective intelligence, distributed consciousness nodes, personality clusters/oversoul
- Distributed business processes with automatic and human components
- Voluntary associations, co-operatives, commonwealths, benefit societies, covenantal communities, etc
- Pre-emptive human rights campaigns for nascent AI (waiting to hear back from Marvin Minsky on this one)
- Corporate and legal structures to protect AI’s and uploaded human personalities
- Phone meeting with Amy Kirschner on alt$
- Project plans to start giving away free money
- Digital duplication rights and reproductive rights
- The right to die (applied 20 years into the future with conscious machines)
- How Tickle-Me-Elmo is teaching kids to eventually fuck robots when they grow up
- Notes on real-world costuming (symbol-focused living)
- Hip-Hop & Community
- Placeless living, traveling circuses, New Nomadism, Tent Show Revivalism, The Not-So-Great Depression
- Google and constitutional law: Search & Seizure
- Innovative business ideas for next generation laptops
- Ron Paul and how it’s important to protect people’s right to hate (Haterz’ Rightz)
- Television & The Land of the Dead
- The attack on private property (contrasted with Jesus’ admonition to give away all your possessions)
- New Illuminism & The Evolution of Conspiracy Theory
And seriously, that’s just me getting warmed up. I’m also going to get back into writing science-fiction, as things are moving too fast at this point to keep all of our conversations strictly moored to modern culture. Sci-fi will allow us to stay a little lighter on our feet and hopefully keep things lively.
{See also: my research feed, which I’m going to be leaning on more heavily for shorter clipboard-style posts.}
