If you don’t already know, the Department of Safety is a group out of Anacortes, Washington which converted an old firehouse into an all-ages show venue and artist collective. I’ve been in communication with a couple people there on and off and am thinking of applying for their artist in residence program for the spring session. I’m having a great time here on the East Coast and learning a hell of a lot in the process, but I find myself missing the Pacific Northwest rather keenly.

Anyway, they have a handful of shows coming up that you might want to check out if you live out in that direction. The first one is tomorrow.
