Prison Fashion

Living in a poor “white trash” neighborhood in Hampden (Baltimore, MD) has made me aware of a startling similarity: most of the young men who wander the streets here are terribly emaciated, have crew cuts and baggy bright-colored clothes. In short, they look like prisoners. And many of them act like it as well. It’s both sad and disgraceful that this is the state of the typical young man in America today. I see this shit going on everywhere around me and don’t know what to do about it.

They are prisoners. They’re out for a little while but on supervision and their freedom can be revoked pretty easily. Emaciated could be an East Coast look but more likely it’s crack or meth. If you have the look but not the attitude then you’re making a fashion statement. If you have the look and the attitude you’re still a prisoner in between sentences. Be careful around these guys. Some people are looking for a reason to be given a life sentence because they know it’s inevitable.

Yeah, I know. I’m no fool. Well, at least not that specific kind.

OK, just remeber that Jedi Mind Tricks don’t work on certain people. Apparently this one worked on the whole planet Earth though.
