I think maybe that when your mind is working properly, you know instinctively what foods you should eat and you follow your instinct.

Your right, it means this and not that you can pump yourself full of low-grade fuel and expect a high performance. Your mind operating optimally means you're aware of your body's response to chemicals ingested.

Yeah,
I am wondering just how that works though. I think my mind is working great but the other day I ate a bunch of pizza and felt like shit. I can't handle eating a lot of carbs.

Because I was thinking that it means you can eat whatever you want and thrive on it but in my experience that doesn't work.

I'm willing to say that eating is largely (if not mostly) psychological/symbolic.

RAW talks in Prometheus about how when your mind is functioning properly, your body automatically follows suit.

My theory is you are losing weight by becoming more of an action oriented type person. pro-active, go-getter.

Wow, I'd feel like shit on Hummus, bread and banannas. I guess that just goes to show you haw everyone is different. I feel and look best on a high protein, low carb, paleo type diet.

My staples are chicken breasts ,tuna and various types of leafy green vegetables, like romaine, spinach, cilantro etc.

Interesting theory. I'm terrible when no one else is around and I'm on a couch; it's sprawl city. I get pins and needles though when I cross my legs for any significant time, which is unfortunate.

More likely weight loss of any kind is due to multiple changes in life style, as you mentioned some of yours. Posture may be a part of it, though.
