alistair, c’mon man. update your musical scope.
Led Z could do that (make people go crazy) in the mid to early 70’s.
Man they were broke up by 1980, I was even too late for them.
The question is if music can STILL do it. Led Zep benefited from their time and place as well. Don’t get me wrong, I love Led Zep but there has been lots of fresh good music in the 30 + years since they were in their prime…

Isn’t that what all pop music marketed towards teens is about?

Unless of course, you have music where you value unripped clothes and dubs over making sound choices with your life and then it’s only the difference between ripping or not ripping your clothes.
