Seat Belts
Don’t make you safer, they restrain you from acting independently and aggressively on a psychological/emotional level. They make you FEEL safer because you feel as though you’re being held. The car becomes a maternal vessel, in whose arms you are safe. A driver not wearing a seatbelt is a visual cue for a police officer (trained scientifically to act as an Alpha - external daddy figure, rule-enforcer) that you’re not submitting to authority, to pack dominance systems. The traffic ticket, the red and blue lights are a behavioral check, a little piss in your face to remind you who has the gun-penis and who doesn’t.

That’s interesting, because about five years ago, my dog chewed through mine. I got used to not wearing one and have never worn one ever since. I even rolled my Explorer without a seatbelt and didn’t get a scratch on me even though the car was totalled.

yeah, that`s a difficult one. the pissing in the face is true though. we have our democracy, or whatever this is, enfoced at the barrel of a gun.
i don`t drive, so i`m ill-equipped to comment. i don`t wear a helmet when i ride though…..bit of a rebel i suppose.
