Global Warming Peace Prize

I know this is old news, but the import of it really took root for me last night while I was High on Mt. Sinai:

This year’s Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and to Al Gore for their “efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change.”

On NPR, they were talking about how it was such an achievement because 600 scientists from 40 countries signed this statement or whatever. But, wait, it’s a statement about climate change. It’s science. What does that have to do with peace?

PEACE THROUGH SCIENCE

Global warming is intended as a reference point marker to leverage ordinary people into thinking of themselves as part of a global society with “planetary emergencies”. Somehow this translates into “peace” because rules about acceptable activity and behavior will be wedged into local governments about how they can correctly act as part of this new “planetary body” we are building.
