Skype’s whole thing is trying to connect the concept of a universal address or ID number for a person which is multi-realm (both online and off, and on other types of active electronic systems, like cell phone networks): sort of like a personal IP address combined with GPS and data influx and outflow maps for your datawake over time.

But now I’m getting ahead of myself again.

It all starts with the cell phone though: having that become in the mind of a consumer more like the concept of a wallet and keys combined with a phone. Your cell phone becomes kind of a remote control, kind of a Harry Potter magical wand of power that you can point at things and have them be paid, or trade/squirt filestreams onto each other - stuff like that.
