[Rumor] National Guard rolled out at an Ohio college?

Via a co-worker, whose friend is travelling cross-country. He doesn’t know the name of the college, but supposedly they’re known as being a politically radical school, and according to his friend, the National Guard has been rolled out at this college. I don’t have any more information than that about this alleged event. If any local correspondents or human search agents could ring in with additional information and updates - if any - on this event, would most appreciate it!

May try to get this person’s phone number who is on the spot to find out more detailed information…

Well, this matches National Guard + Ohio in today’s news: Ohio Army National Guard Recruit Dies After Training

I saw that as well. Additional details which were repeated to me in person via a second-hand source, with no additional correlation [therefore this is a total rumor and may not turn out to be anything at all]: the school is a liberal arts school in Ohio with a known radical educational philosophy and that the government had somehow stepped in and that National Guard were there and that it was “post-apocalyptic looking” and students may have been rioting. I realize how things get blown out of proportion {see also: telephone game} across multiple people repeating them, but I feel like we’d have to start with a different base event than an National Guard officer dying at a bootcamp in another geographic region.

That brings up an important point maybe: this is the kind of search that a human being is better at conducting - for the time being - than an automated algorithm. We’re also here conducting a “social search” using multiple nodes to compare and contrast wholly different data sets run through different filters. The internet - right now - has a long way to go before it gets a search which can match anything on that scale, even just with a small group sampling… I’m sure the big G is working on it though.

Here’s an alleged list of Ohio colleges. There are a lot of them.

    Actually, I’m not.

Any more news to report on this?

No additional information at this time. Will find out later when I go to work though. When I say Big G, I mean Google.

I haven’t seen or heard anything about this, but I’m assuming that Antioch College in Yellow Springs is the school of reference here.

A friend of mine used to live in OH and his work involved him having to occasionally go to Ohio National Guard headquarters. He saw quite a few cars parked there with bumper stickers stating the following:

“We shot at your parents, and we’ll shoot at you too”

I sometimes worry for Yellow Springs residents. It’s a very cool and enlightened village filled with hippies and radicals, surrounded by conservative farmers and military thugs.

My source says it is Antioch University McGregor in Yellow Springs, but I don’t have any additional information.
