Been wrapping various loose ends up the past few days. Things are good. Sometimes I let a bunch of emails pile up and don’t respond to people for a few days until I have the time to sit down and just get it all off my plate. I guess that’s sort of a good description of emotional experiences too: you get all this sort of stuff that just adds up and then one day you just have to sit down and knuckle through it. A lot of times, all that’s really required of you is just effort. It’s easier once you build up the momentum by taking the first step.

Whatever that means. I found a flier the other day for some kind of juggler’s meeting which is supposed to take place in a rec center near my work. Will probably try to round up some moral support and head by there tonight and see what their whole deal is. Would be fun to work out a musical act with some decent jugglers and people doing cool things. I found a video on YouTube kind of like that a while back: it was somebody playing mandolin and this other guy juggling, and it was sort of goofy as hell, but also sort of amazing and perfect.

My online radio thing went very well the other day. If you missed it, I think we’ll be doing another or maybe more than one more installment of it. It’s an evolving format and I really like the fellow who runs it and the direction he’s taking things. But basically I played a few songs and we chatted a little bit about my background as an artist and where I’m headed and so forth. I did a Woody Guthrie cover too. At least, I think Woody wrote it: that song “Hard Travelin.”

Reverting to video game analogies for a second, I think what I’ve been doing is gaining a lot of experience points. And I’ll probably start leveling up and learning a lot of new spells as soon as we unlock a new map or something.
