Keyword Genetics

I would love to see some kind of online application which allows you to trace sort of the evolution of words and their usage over the internet. I don’t know exactly what I mean by that, but maybe somebody reading this does and can link me to a good source.

Man, I’ve been obsessing over the same concept. Been playing with labels on blogger lately, doing a side project where I re-organize and remix concepts and data points from my Skilluminati stuff. I find myself revising the labels as I go, pruning what’s redundant or seldom-used, and I wonder if there’s a more efficient way.

Good keywords are clutch…I got 90% of my Audible Hype material just sitting down with my partner in crime and brainstorming the keywords for the site. I also really dig the subtitle of Klintron’s (consistently dope) site Technoccult: “high weirdness, the occult, sex, drugs, liberty, mad science, cults, fringe culture.”

I’ll come back with some links, don’t close this puppy just yet.
